Levels of the EIT Food Competency Framework
Our certification program is tiered across five levels to reflect different extents of knowledge and practical application:
- Basic level: Designed to assess and certify fundamental understanding, this level recognizes even the most general competencies.
- Explore level: Concentrates on the initial exploration and comprehension of the competency areas.
- Practice level: Highlights practical application and intermediate capability.
- Master level: Aims at advanced skills and thorough knowledge acquisition.
- Expert Level: Denotes the pinnacle of expertise, requiring comprehensive application and mastery of the competencies.
For each of these five levels, we provide interdisciplinary certificates that give participants an extensive and integrated view of Food Systems. The certified competencies illustrate varying depths of knowledge across the eight areas, with increasing precision and application demands from the Basic to the Expert level. This structure ensures that as participants move through the levels, they achieve a greater degree of expertise and practical implementation in their specific domains.
Participating in our Competency Framework Certification program allows professionals to systematically develop their skills and knowledge, obtain recognition for their expertise, and actively contribute to the evolution of sustainable practices in the agrifood sector.
