Examination formats at EIT Food Assessment
The examination formats at EIT Food Assessment are designed in accordance with the guidelines of ISO 17024. This allows for a variety of examination methods to be utilized, depending on the competencies required for each certification profile.
Examinations can be conducted in different formats, including written and oral exams, with either closed or open questions. These exams can be administered in person or online, providing flexibility to meet the needs of different candidates and certification requirements.
Online proctored examinations of EIT Food Assessment and its Certification Agencies
EIT Food Assessment offers online-proctored certification exams, though participation is optional. Candidates can also choose to take their exams in person.
Our online-proctored exams are conducted via a learning management software on the candidate’s own computer. The data is stored on the servers of the Certification Agencies. This ensures that only the Certification Agencies can access the collected data.
Monitoring of online proctored exams
To prevent cheating, the Certification Agencies use an online proctoring tool that verifies the candidate’s identity through a webcam capture of their photo ID. Candidates can cover any non-essential information on their ID. The exam environment is also recorded via webcam to ensure privacy.Â
Throughout the exam, candidates are continuously monitored via webcam and microphone, and their screen activity is recorded. The collected audio, video, and screen data are reviewed either during the examination (live proctoring) or post-exam by the Certification Agencies´ staff based on predefined criteria. No automatic AI evaluation is used. Data is stored on European servers and deleted after 30 days, in compliance with GDPR.
